at last ...
we've moved into the world of high speed internet! That should mean more frequent photo/video updates to the blog! I need to get our computers cleaned up and move some of the photo storage around, but I'm hoping that by the end of the weekend I'll finally have those Sundae Party pictures to post!

because i just can't get enough
of looking at these pictures, here are some more! Many of these are on Facebook, but there are a few people that check out this blog who don't have access to my Facebook photo albums. Enjoy!

Easter pictures
Here are a few more pictures from our Easter photo shoot. The first three are a progression of Kaden NOT enjoying the picture because we refused to let him hold his GIANT pencil. Luckily, we managed to get some good shots of everyone in other attempts.

found!
That's right. My camera cord is found! Mike apparently decided to embark on a search for it himself last night and discovered it, of all places, in a container on top of the dryer. See? I never would have thought to look there!
Will have some soccer pictures tomorrow!

better late than never ... thanks to jennie
Well, I did clean my room this weekend. The frustrating part was that I did not unearth my camera cord! I'm running out of places to look, so I'm simply hoping that it turns up in an unexpected spot ... and soon! In the mean time, Jennie e-mailed me some pictures of our latest Sesame Street Live adventure, so this isn't another picture-less post. Leah has another soccer practice tonight, so even if I can't locate my camera cord I should be able to borrow Mom & Dad's computer to get a soccer-heavy photo post up within the next few days.

clean your room
Isn't the mom usually saying that to her kids? Well this time, I'm telling myself! With all of the sickness that we had over the last several weeks, my normal cleaning routines have fallen WAY by the wayside. It's so bad that I can't even find the cord for my digital camera ... which is why there aren't any pictures on this blog from Leah's first soccer practice or Sesame Street Live last night! I pledge to clean my room this weekend and have new pictures by Monday!

take a walk
We're struggling with the kids bedtime routine right now. Leah has never been a child that likes to sleep ... and she really seems to do ok with less sleep than most. She'll generally stay in her room and just likes to sing along with her music, tell stories, play with her dolls, etc. Kaden, on the other hand, is a child that needs his sleep. He's the one that will crawl back under the covers when you try to wake him up in the morning, etc. And he's on a roll right now, refusing to go to bed at night.
On Saturday, Mike had made dinner for all of us, and then discovered a lost dog outside. While the rest of the family sat down to eat dinner, Mike borrowed a leash from a neighbor and took the dog on a walk in hopes of finding its owner. This attempt was unsuccessful, and the dog went to stay at our neighbor's. (Note the dog is still there. He is not chipped, but our neighbor is hoping to keep him for a few more days and find his owner.)
Leah & Kaden were up extraordinarily late Saturday night. In addition to the horrors that constitute their bedtime "routine", we have some issues going on with extended family right now that kept Mike & I up in conversation. I finally went into my room and ended up with Leah & Kaden with me. As Mike kept talking, I jokingly said to Leah "Tell Daddy to turn off the light and take a hike, it's time for us to go to sleep!"
Leah: (pointing at Mike and shaking her finger) Daddy, you go take a walk with that dog you found!
