November

November was well past the crazy weekends of soccer, but just as busy for us!

We started the month off with a visit from Angie, Isaac, & Rose. We babysat for baby Mallory, then went to Hot Box pizza with Jennie, Ryan, & Mallory.

I am continually amazed at how much energy these kids possess, as you can see by this picture! To avoid any behavioral disturbances inside the pizza place, I took the kids across the street to the play place to run off some energy while we waited for our food.

After a full day of fun, we ventured to the theater to watch Papaw in a play! The kids all did a great job. Isaac declared that it was "the best play I've EVER seen!" (To be fair, Ang says he hasn't seen any other plays, but still ....)

The next weekend, Ang, Isaac & Rose returned for another fun weekend! We started off Saturday morning with a Lowe's workshop, which all of the kids really enjoyed.

We stopped by the house after Lowe's, and there was a large commotion from the back of Ang's van, with Leah & Kaden both crying. Kaden was crying because Leah grabbed his hair and tried to bite his head, and Leah was crying because her two front teeth, which had been VERY loose, had fallen out at the same time!! We were able to locate one tooth, but the second may very well be floating around the back of Ang's van to be discovered the next time it's detailed!

Saturday night, Ang & Tarik treated me to a night out! We went to Sakura for dinner (Sorry guys, my tummy just wasn't quite up to being really adventurous. My New Year's resolution is to learn how to use chopsticks and then really try some sushi.), and then my favorite, ROLLER DERBY! Even got a pic with Dora the Destroyer :)

I'm pleased to say that this Thanksgiving was very peaceful for us. We had a wonderful meal at Papaw & Totsie's (as Kaden sang that morning, Papaw's turkey is the "best turkey ever!"), and just enjoyed quiet time with each other.

The following week, Aunt Dolly came over and helped with the furniture moving to settle Leah into the yellow room. Pretty cool digs for a 7 1/2 year old!

We even got our first ground covering of snow before November was over, lots of fun for the kids & the dog, but not so much for me.

October: a month in pictures
