Angie, looking serious...
Ryan & Kaden playing in the sand box...
Leah standing on the sit-and-spin (one of my biggest peeves, it's a SIT and spin!)...
Isaac hula-hooping...
Jennie, Angie, & me...Front Row: Rose, Leah, Ryan, Kaden

The whole group of us!

Sunday was HOT! We decided against inflating and filling our small pool since rain was in the forecast for Monday and instead Mike made a trip to the store and came home with this:
Leah really enjoyed it, though she couldn't get the hang of running and sliding. Instead, she'd lie down at the end of the slip-and-slide and get a big push from Mom or Dad.
I think that's Cody!
Gotta love those goggles!
Kaden would only go if the water was "way down" and used the same strategy as Leah.
Mike & I also took a few turns down the slip-and-slide, which was quite amusing for our neighbors ... think I'll skip putting those on the blog for our sake ;-)

Leah & Kaden left with Papaw & Totsie to spend the night. Dolly & Jason stuck around and we played a few games. Anyone heard of Lightning Reaction Extreme? If not, we'll definitely have to get it out the next time you're over ... I think it'd be even better if you'd had a couple of beers before playing! After testing that out, we moved on to Mad Gab ... where I had everyone in hysterics trying to figure out what "Empty Fees Speech Ows" was supposed to be. Then a small game of Scattergories, with plenty of arguing about which answers should count.
I had to get up and go to work this morning, but put in about 1/2 day and then was home. Papaw & Totsie dropped of Leah & Kaden just in time for us to head over to the neighbor's house for a little cook-out. Unfortunately, the rainy cool weather meant we couldn't swim as we had planned, but we've definitely got a rain-check for the next sunny weekend. All in all, a wonderful weekend full of wonderful friends!
I hope you all enjoyed the holiday weekend as much as we did!
Oh, and if you're still puzzling over the Mad Gab, it was MTV's Beach House. I, unfortunately, could not get that figured out!
