calm before the storm

It seems that the older I get, and the older my kids get, the faster time passes. I know people tell you that when you have your first child, but it's hard to believe it until you're actually living it. This summer is passing SO quickly! Our schedule has settled down, and we've got the next two weeks to breathe before the pace picks back up.

Leah & Cody got signed up for soccer on Saturday. We'll meet the coaches on the 3rd and practices will start the following week. First game on the 22nd of August, so stay tuned for that! Hannah has a consultation appointment with an orthodontist on the 4th, and then we'll be hitting the annual Night Out Against Crime that evening. I swear that all the kids talk about that event every time we drive past the Town Hall! I'll have a day off from work on the 6th - going to start the day out by taking Hannah & Leah to the hair salon for some pampering and new do's before school starts. Tori Amos concert on Friday night! Followed by a visit to Ohio to see Angie on Saturday! And then ... school preparation really starts. School tour for Leah on the 10th, her Kindergarten screening on the 11th, Back to School night on the 13th ... and then, that's it! Summer is over.

We're going to make the most out of this last month!
