weekend update

Mike is the yard-sale king. Bless him for taking this on, because heaven knows I do NOT enjoy manning (0r wo-manning) a yard sale. This makes two in a row that he has done almost single-handedly, which means I'm next up. (Which increases the likelihood that there won't be a next time.) He's plugging right along and the weather is (mostly) cooperating. A few sprinkles today, but he seemed to be holding out pretty well when I talked to him last. Got rid of all of the big items except the couch so far (fingers crossed everyone!) ... I think we've made enough so far to cover H&C's day-care expenses for the summer (whew).

Hannah & Cody are counting down until the end of school. Cody only has two days left (Monday & Wednesday) and Hannah's last day is Thursday. That certainly arrived quickly! See how time flies ...

Leah is very much into testing her boundaries and has been a bit of a handful the last couple of days.

Kaden is doing well. He really does have such a pleasant demeanor, despite being 2. We picked up all of his medications yesterday and plan to do his first breathing treatment at home tonight. Wish us luck, and I'll let you know how he tolerates it.

Mike has softball tomorrow night, which he is anxious to get back into. He was pretty bummed with rain cancellation of his double header last week. In other news, he's gearing up for Scott's wedding in July. Mike found a different place for tux rentals (thanks to some help from his smart & beautiful wife and her wonderful co-workers) and I think they may have found one that's 1/2 the price - SCORE! Plus, at this location, Cody's tux rental will be 1/2 price - SCORE! Makes things a little more manageable for us ... heck, if Scott keeps cutting his costs, he & Jess might actually get a wedding gift from us!
